Edward Shaw is a Research Associate at the School of Architecture and Landscape at the University of Sheffield under the supervision of Tom Wild.

He completed an MBiolSci in Ecology and a PhD in Catchment Science at the University of Sheffield. He previously worked as the Managing Director of the environmental charity the Don Catchment Rivers Trust, and as a consultant for an environmental engineering consultancy. 

Role in GP4Streets: His role on the GP4Streets project is to plan and conduct ecological monitoring fieldwork in three English cities, and use GIS to understand and map habitats and other indicators of ecological status in a range of urban and peri-urban settings, to support the assessment of retrofitted interventions and urbanisation pressures on ecosystems and habitats.
